About Us

Our Firm was established in the mid 1800's to deal specifically with the insurance needs of religious communities and private not-for-profit organizations. In 1956 Christopher M. Waldorf purchased the organization and expanded their services to cater, not only to the individual communities, but also to all organizations they own and operate. Later in 1964 Christopher V. Waldorf Sr. joined the firm and created Waldorf & Associates expanding the services and reaffirming the organization's commitment within our niche.

Today we are well into our third generation and remain focused on the insurance needs of religious and not-for-profit organizations establishing and administrating programs to transfer unwanted risk.

Our company began as a family business and has remained as such over the years. The one common thread that has not changed and will always remain is the personal relationship we maintain with our clients. Any coverage or technical issues are addressed and answered by one of the principals. Our competent support staff is broken down in teams from accounting to claims and is available to handle the daily activities of every account. No question or request will go unanswered.

The value of our firm can be found in its history and existing clients, some of which have been with us since our inception. Nothing can be more satisfying then to say we have never advertised who we are or what we do, but every year we expand our client base from recommendations made by satisfied customers.

Waldorf & Associates maintains the oldest uninterrupted facility within the Lloyds community. These relationships have been tried, tested and withstood the test of time. Our clients have benefited from this stability when the market cycles impose coverage restrictions or substantial rate increases. Our underwriters view the business as a long-term partnership and never take advantage of unreasonable price increases or coverage restrictions without a cause.

Our Philosophy

For over 75 years, Waldorf & Associates has provided insurance expertise and comprehensive insurance programs for our clients - many of whom have been with us for over 50 years. We have accomplished this by listening to their needs, offering professional, objective advice, delivering solutions that are innovative and creative, and most importantly, putting the needs of the client first.

Our objective is to represent our clients with a degree of professionalism and respect that meets the highest level of expectation. As an indication of our success in this regard, we note the fact that the overwhelming majority of new clients we serve have been referred to us by an existing client. This is a testimony we value greatly.
